you are so right, but its tough when the other person just gives up and throws everything we had together like it wasnt nothing. iam the one is hurting now and she is out dating. I cant even bring myself to even do that.

I song reminds me of me and the soon to be ex-wife, we had it all then things got compilcated (life) stress of work, bills, things like that. I was the strong one, she is the one that give up on us. she just throw me away like the song. now she is with someone else now.

you make a very good point
It’s actually kinda hard to sing emotionally like that. I should I write songs and sing all the time. cause I want to be a singer one day

I’ve only heard him do this live a few times, and you can tell it’s hard for him emotionally to sing. In the song “Last Day of My Life,” he talks about his friend Bobby’s funeral, and that’s actually the guy he wrote this song with. For me it’s the line “we had them rolling in the aisles” that’s tough because my best friend and I were Abbott and Costello together, and he chose to throw me away when he got married.

This guy is so incredibly talented. When you talk about just raw, pure talent, this guy is the real deal.

Hey Phil…I met you once when I was in country radio in Hartford. When this song came out…I made sure I played it twice each on my show everyday!!..twice!!…beyond the rules..you know..tight playlist and all…but..I fell in love with the entire song from lyrics to the beginning and the way the drums come in….perfect!!…and I let everyone know it was my newest favorite song…I miss my show….

This song brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it. It reminds me so much of me and my husband, word for word. We met and EVERYONE said we were perfect for each other, we always had everyone laughing and wishing to be us, we would even have strangers come up and say they were envious!! We were perfect, and we just threw it away… Its been almost a year since then and now I use it as a lesson for my future. Remember it takes effort to make marriage work, constant effort

You are So right. Why is it so hard and scary to call in love? but yet, so easy to fall out? I do believe that Satan will do all he can to mess us up from being happy - If we let him.

This song has always brought tears to my eyes, because of the stark truth in his words,..so many marriages, beautiful beginnings, so many unhappy endings. I often wondered how we fall in love, and how we fall out of it as well.
What a hauntingly beautiful song, that I can so very much identify with.

princesslaura2384, I am 53 years old, have been married for 20 years to a wonderful, caring man, and have an awesome, loving, brilliant 19-year-old son. I waited 32 years for my husband to come along, and the one piece of advice I can give anyone is to appreciate every moment you have with your family, because it goes by so fast. Even the things that seem not so good at the time, you will miss after it has passed, and it passes FAST. Savor every little detail, and burn it into your memory.

My fiance and I got engaged 2 months ago, and she’s not 5 weeks pregnant…I can’t wait to begin my life with her. Even if we do throw our marriage away like a rose boquet…atleast we had that time together…I’m very grateful for that!!!
